FIRST TRAILER FOR THE DINNER STARRING RICHARD GERE AND OTHERS

The Orchard has released the first trailer for The Dinner, the American film adaptation of Herman Koch’s novel. View it here:

The Dinner is about two couples who meet for dinner in a restaurant to discuss a situation involving their children. Steve Coogan and Richard Gere play two brothers Laura Linney and Rebecca Hall their wifes. Their sons have done something that one of the brothers wants to keep secret, while the other wants to punish them and make them take responsibility for their actions.

This is not the first film adaptation of The Dinner. A Dutch version, Het Diner, was released in 2013 featuring Daan Schuurmans and Kim van Kooten. And an Italian adaptation, I Nostri Ragazzi, followed a year later.
